More Snowmaking Than Ever.
Each year Timberline has significantly increased its snowmaking ability. This year Timberline purchased 60 new stationary snow guns, and each year of the past 2 years new vertical Turbine pumps have allowed a major increase in pumping capacity to assure the expanding trail system is covered early and consistently, in keeping with Timberline’s reputation of REAL SNOW COUNTRY . The expanded trail system includes a recent new trail and this year’s widened slopes.

White Lightning Widened
Regular skiers returning to Timberline this year will see a very noticeable change in appearance of Herz Mountain. Upper White Lightning has been widened along most of its length to be confluent with Silver Streak. This concept has met with enthusiasm by our skiers many of whom consider White Lightening one of their favorite ski slopes along with the South’s longest ski trail, Salamander Run, and Twister, Timberline’s newest trail. This widening will allow facility in making turns particularly with the current shaped skis. The widened trail will enhance its reputation as the region’s favorite racing trail. White Lightning will be twice the width of most of our trails.

Western Face Expansion
At Timberline we are dedicated to resort expansion. Construction of the Western Face of the mountain was begun with Twister, the newest trail, and Winterhaven, our recently developed exclusive slopeside community, which is just now becoming available. Winterhaven and the plans there emphasize more snow, lifts, trails, tubing and lodging. Picture a mid-mountain village overlooking the highest valley east of the Rockies nestled between the Western ski trails and complete with lodging, summer and winter amentities and a commercial area within the village. And imagine yourself in a new Winterhaven home experiencing the excitement of our western mountain development!

Winterhaven II Slopeside Development
All Winterhaven I slopeside home sites have been sold and construction is now completed on Winterhaven II. This spectacular western face high mountain development of 18 lots includes 12 slopeside homesites. Now is a good time to view these lots.
