| How better to spend a day, or better yet, two or three days, than with 20 or more of your family or friends having more fun than you have had fodr a long time. Do you belong to a scout troop, church group, organization, or just have a large group of friends or co-workers or just a large family? If so, then get them together,
pick a date to come skiing and call our Group Sales Office at 1.800.392.0152 or e-mail the Group Office to schedule a fun filled outing.
If you don't ski, then we will teach you. Our ski school offers instruction in Alpine and Snowboard Skiing. Our packages include a 1 hour introductory lesson for the beginner that will include instruction in putting on your skis, taking them off, walking, stopping, turning on very gentle slopes and riding the lift. Timberline Ski School is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America
Want to take your scouts, youth group or school class on an inexpensive overnight weekend or weekday trip? Then come stay with us in one of our two bunkhouses. Get your lodging, meals, lift tickets, rentals and introductory ski lesson at an unbelievable low rate. We have packages as low as $79.00 per person. If you want something a little nicer, like a house or condo with a fireplace and hot tub, then we can help you find that too.
Don't want to stay overnight. That's okay. Bring your group and take advantage of one of our really low priced Day Packages. Our packages, Sunday thru Friday, include an all day lift ticket (from opening to closing, even if there is night skiing), regular downhill ski equipment rental and a Level 1 beginners ski lesson. Want to come on Saturday? That's great, we will build the package you need and you can still save over the main lift ticket window prices.
Call us today at 1.800.392.0152 or email us at biggroups@timberlineresort.com for more information and prices and talk to a Real Person in Real Snow Country.
The Group Price Rate information is presented in PDF format to allow for easier downloading and printing. If you have any questions about group rates or lodging please call our group sales office from 8-5 monday-friday. 800-392-0152 |

Timberline greatly increases snowmaking equipment WEST VIRGINIA RESORT ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR MAJOR INCREASE
IN ITS SKI AREA SNOWMAKING
Tom Blanzy, General Manager, Timberline Four Seasons Resort, reported today that the ski area has purchased 40 additional snow guns for its ’07-’08 winter season. This recent acquisition is in addition to 60 units purchased last year.
“Delivery of large volumes of high quality snow to Timberline’s 100 acres of skiable terrain is basic to the winter attraction of skiers coming to Tucker County. Timberline has always emphasized snowmaking as the basic ingredient to the ski area of Timberline Four Seasons Resort. Our snowmaking technology combined with our position at 4200 feet on the Eastern Continental Divide has attracted attention of the ski industry and with our visitors and friends who know Timberline as ‘Real Snow Country’”.
Timberline’s emphasis on snowmaking attracted wide attention during the major winter thaw of January of 2007. During this time skiers from various Mid-Atlantic resorts came to know Timberline when lower altitude resorts were closed.
In recent years the resort has installed two new powerful vertical turbine pumps which supplement its water pumping capacity.
Timberline has recently received a number of acclaims for its performance in its role as an Eastern mountain resort. This recognition in regional, state and national publications is a reflection of the quality of its amenities including its snow making capabilities and its increasing popularity.
Timberline’s consistent and spirited growth has resulted in its being named the best ski area in the coveted “Best in Region” award for three consecutive past years by a poll of readers in the largest regional newspaper of North Central West Virginia. The popularity of the resort has also been expressed statewide in a recent poll of Graffiti Magazine whose readers voted Timberline “Best of the Best Places for Wintertime Sports” in an early winter edition.
The most recent issue of Snow East Magazine commended the terrain at Timberline for its consistency of incline and for its extensive snowmaking and base elevation which allows for skiing consistently into April. It is also noted that the 37 trails are well separated by thick forest and that the terrain is optimally rated a third easiest, a third more difficult and a third most difficult. The magazine also recognized the staff at Timberline for its “…genuine Appalachian Mountain hospitality.”
And in a December 8, 2006, editorial, the New York Times singled out this region for its reputation in year round resort facilities and its excellence in winter sports activities and importantly stressed the growth and potential of its associated Timberline area real estate values. Interest in this area was also stimulated by the increasing pace of highway construction of Corridor H which will soon link the major metropolitan areas of Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland as well as neighboring states to the west directly into the greater Timberline area.
